1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating a Vineyard account or using any Vineyard services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. Who Can Use Vineyard
You must be at least 18 years old to use Vineyard. By using the platform, you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal authority to enter into these terms.
3. Homeowner Terms
- You agree to pay for work you have approved through the milestone payment system
- You agree to review and approve or dispute milestone completions within 7 days of submission
- You agree not to circumvent the Vineyard platform by paying providers directly to avoid platform fees
- You are responsible for ensuring your property is accessible for scheduled appointments
4. Provider Terms
- You represent that all information submitted during onboarding — including license numbers, insurance details, and EIN — is accurate and current
- You agree to maintain valid licensing and insurance for the duration of your time on the platform
- You agree to notify Vineyard immediately if your license or insurance lapses
- You agree to complete work as described in the agreed project scope
- You agree not to solicit homeowners off-platform to avoid Vineyard's commission
- Vineyard charges a 8% commission on each completed, approved milestone payment
5. Payments and Escrow
All payments on Vineyard are processed by Stripe. Homeowner funds are held in escrow and released to providers upon homeowner milestone approval. Vineyard is not responsible for disputes between homeowners and providers but will mediate in good faith.
6. Prohibited Conduct
- Misrepresenting your identity, credentials, or business
- Submitting false reviews or testimonials
- Using the platform for any unlawful purpose
- Circumventing the payment system
- Harassing or threatening other users
7. Dispute Resolution
Vineyard will attempt to mediate disputes between homeowners and providers. If mediation fails, disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration in Maricopa County, Arizona, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
8. Limitation of Liability
Vineyard is a marketplace platform and is not liable for the quality of work performed by providers, personal injury, property damage, or any other claims arising from projects facilitated through the platform. Use Vineyard at your own risk.
9. Termination
Vineyard reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms, at our sole discretion, with or without notice.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Vineyard after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.
